Logging out of Data as a Service (DaaS)

Note: This topic applies to users of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) user management system.

You can log out or exit from DaaS at any time. If you share your computer with other users, remember to log out when you finish using DaaS so other users can't see your information.

Note: If you have more than one DaaS user account, you must log out before you log in as a different user.

To log out

  1. To log out, on the toolbar in the upper right corner of each page, click the Systems Detail icon ().
  2. Click Logout.

    DaaS closes, and the IAM Login page opens.

If you are logged in to DaaS, and you click the Close button () instead of clicking Logout, depending on the browser you're using, one of the following actions occurs:

Microsoft Edge Both the DaaS tab and the IAM tab close.
Mozilla Firefox A confirmation message appears to let you know that you're closing two tabs (DaaS and IAM)
  • To continue, click Close tabs.

    Both the DaaS tab and the IAM tab closes.

  • To return to DaaS, click Cancel.

Timeout period

Although customers can configure the timeout period for IAM as needed, the default is set at 15 minutes. The timeout session considers time in both IAM and DaaS before closing your session.
